Dr. Mikal Anderson

Dr. Mikal Anderson believes that all people, irrespective of their identity or group membership, should be afforded equal opportunities, equitable outcomes, and access to upward social and economic mobility. As a diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) leader, strategist, international consultant, trainer, and educational practitioner, he works with organizations across various sectors to build, operationalize, and measure DEI agendas that yield impact for minoritized populations. Additionally, he helps people connect DEIB learnings and strategies to practices that advance behaviors and systems within organizations.
Dr. Anderson is an Eisenhower Fellow, and his research and practice have taken him to Africa, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East where he has investigated across various political and cultural landscapes system-wide solutions to address education and workforce development inequities. He also serves as faculty at Tulane University in John Lewis Master of Public Administration program where he trains aspiring leaders on matters pertaining to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the public and private sectors. When not working to counter racial, gender, and social inequities, he enjoys spending time immersed in cultures across Africa and South America.
