Bias

what is bias?

We define bias as our automatic associations with a person, group, experience, or thing that lead to unintentional or intentional advantage or disadvantage for individuals or groups. These automatic associations are informed by societal messages and individual experiences, and disproportionately harm those with marginalized identities.

Be Equitable offers learning experiences focused on bias ranging from keynotes and interactive training to an incredible eLearning program to help your organization reach its potential.

= Invisible Influencers is an eLearning course that serves as an introduction to unocovering and mitigating bias in the workplace. This course is designed to help learners recignize and address the impact of unconcious bias by challenging assumptions, encouraging diversity of experience, opinion and expression and supporting a workplace culture that actively strives to be more inclusive.

In a series of six short videos, the Press PAUSEvideo series allows you to create micro-learning opportunities for disrupting bias by walking participants through each stage of the PAUSE model. This engaging series uses storytelling, animation and real-life cases studies to help learners understand and implement the PAUSE model into their daily lives.

The 90-minute virtual keynote uncovers how hidden biases impact organizations and invites participants to reflect on their own biases. Participants are inspired to take action to mitigate their own biases in the future.

Be Equitable offers custom keynotes to help meet the needs of your organization. We’ve collaborated with companies across the globe to design a keynote that will inspire action and postive change.

Cook Ross is now BE Equitable

These past few years have been incredibly tumultuous and evolving, where we have witnessed how complex and messy our world is.

In a world of tick-a-box trainings and quick fixes, we at Be Equitable are going after something more satisfying -- we’re here for the transformations. For the forward thinkers and future leaders who know the journey is long and are still ready, we see you and we want to partner with you.

Let’s go beyond the buzzwords to create workplaces that work for people of all races, ethnicities, identities, and abilities. It won’t be neat. And it certainly won’t be simple. Our BE team is ready and committed to get it done.

As we enter this next chapter of our story, we invite you to BE bold, BE inclusive, and BE authentic to the vision you have for yourself and your organization. And together we can create workplaces that are just and equitable for all.
